Bilge Pump Not Working - Fuse or Pump? 1999 Epic 22
« on: August 09, 2020, 06:55:17 am »
I just realized the bilge pump was not working and we took a lot of water in. I'd like to avoid this happening again. Is there a  fuse that would create this, or is it just a new pump?  Also, it's a 1999. Wondering if I just buy a bilge pump at West Marine, or is there a specialty part?  I'm at Lake Mead in Henderson, NV for one more day so thank you for your help.

If the breaker at the dash isn't blown it's likely the pump. I'd re-seat the connections behind the breaker and switch to be sure that you don't have a corrosion issue preventing the pump from running. You should be able to get a replacement pump that is identical. Pretry sure rule still makes them

Thank you! I’ll check this out I’ll definitely check the dash first and hopefully can get that Rule pump still. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Mine 'failed' once but realized it was just plugged up. The pump clips into a screen attached to the hull. Pulled it up, cleaned the gunk. Pretty sure that was it.
