Good morning everyone,
I finally pulled my epic out of storage after sitting since the winter '19 and on the drive back home I noticed red fluid coming from the stern drain port as I left the plug out. After getting home and removing the shrink wrap, sure enough, transmission fluid everywhere. I cleaned it up and poured more fluid in to see if I can see where it's coming from but nothing. I let it sit overnight and this morning I checked it appears to be coming from the shaft packing. There was no fluid anywhere else. Could that be right? Any thoughts what could be causing it? The only thing I could think of is maybe the engine moving out of alignment slightly putting pressure on the seal as the ride home (about 45 mins) was extremely bumpy due to all of the construction here in MI. I posted a picture if that helps.
