X22 Tower Up Mooring Cover

I've been super happy with my westland cover. I have an E22 but noticed the tower up covers when I was looking. The cover fits really well and came in the exact same sunbrella pattern as the original cover. I have two seasons on it and no issues with fading or stretching that I have noticed.

Thanks, all Westland show is a tower down version. They have them for the SX but I don’t know if the hull is the same or if the tower is in the same relative location. Does anyone know if an SX cover would fit the X22?

I have an Evolution cover made in Seattle. Well made, tower up mooring cover and can tow with it on as well.

Ktdist, I contacted Cory @ evolution about a cover, he said the pattern he has is for an epic x series...that’s all he knew. He sent me some pics but I cannot tell from the pic if its an x22 or an SX...very well could be your boat in the pics? Is your an X22 or and SX? I am right in the middle of getting a new interior installed and would like to get a new cover but my interior guy wants $1,300 to duplicate my old cover..

I have an x-22.
The only difference between the two is that the sx windshield is 3” farther back than the x-22.

I've also been looking for an X22 Tower Up cover. I've been using a cheap Universal fit cover since I bought the boat but take it off during trailering. It fits OK.   

Corey advised me back in July that his pattern was for a 2001, but wasn't sure of the model. ktdust, is yours the 2001 X22 that the cover was based off of? There should be no difference between the 2001 and 1999, correct?

I'm a little hesitant to buy one without having it fitted in person, especially a custom cover for almost $1k.

I have a tower up cover that Brent made. Friend of Corey @ Evolution. Fitted for a 2000 E-22. Works fantastic.  Trailered the boat from Washington half way across the US with the cover on, stayed on tight, no problems.

I wanted to bump this back up. Is Evolution the only real option for a tower up cover for the X22? ktdust, is your X22 the black and red one they have on their Instagram page with the black cover? Corey knew he had a template for a 2001, just wanted to make sure it's the X22 not the SX22. There should be no fitment differences between the 1999 and 2001, right?

It could be mine on the website. I’ll measure where the windshield is from the bow and he can confirm if his template is for the X22 or the SX. 99-01 should be the same for all direct drives. If anyone knows different please let me know

That’s not mine on the website. The one on the website is an 02 SX I believe. The template he has is for an SX then. All other measurements are the same, except the windshield on the SX is back 3”. That cover will fit a direct drive, but it needs a pole to support the cover where the ski pylon is on the v drive and felt sewn where it rests on the windshield. They are great covers.

I was able to fit a factory SX cover on my Epic22 with factory tower. It didn't fit well around the base of the tower but it worked. That being said, I am sure Westland has a pattern for an Epic22 with tower up or X22 tower up cover.

I think there's a typo in their online order form. WHat is an Epic CB? Worst case, you could buy the E22 no tower cover and have it modded for a hundred bucks.

Last time I'll post about this, I'm down to 2 options. First is buying the SX22 Tower Up cover and hoping the windshield placement doesnt make too much of a difference with the tower cutouts... or... buying the Epic 22 cover and having it customized by a local upholstery shop for tower cutouts.

Any thoughts? Overtons has 30% off for the next few days and want to get this ordered. Any thoughts between Sunbrella and Sharskin?

I confirmed with Westland that the Epic CB cover has no tower cutouts and they are sure the boat existed at some point to make the template. Huh.
