Where do you store your Epic?

I am getting ready to move in the next month and have found that covered and secured boat storage is quite expensive in San Antonio.  I have been paying about $35 a month for an enclosed storage unit that is tall enough for me to keep the tower raised and long enough for me to store all the extra equipment etc...  In San Antonio the prices are 3 to 4 times that price.   So, my question is where do you store your boat and what limitations have you found?  Do some of you leave your boat outside with just your boat cover?  Does anyone keep their boat in a covered or uncovered slip  (these are almost the same price as dry storage in SA).  If you store your boat in your garage, I will already say "I'm jealous," because my new garage is not even close to accomidating my boat.

That $35 a month for covered storage was cheap!!!  Now $100 or more a month... that's expensive.

I use to pay about $56 a month for covered storage about 5 years ago. Fortunately, we bought a place at the lake and now the boat sits either in the carport (no tower in our boat) in the winter or the covered boat lift in the summer.

I would hate to keep it unprotected outside but with a good cover with a tight fit, you should be OK

I've always kept my boats outside under a good cover. If you make sure that the cover fits tightly and doesn't pool or leak, you'll  be fine.

Our boat is inside year around. During the summer our boat is inside a storage unit at $100.00 per month. During the winter it is inside a pole barn at $0.00 per month. So I guess we spend about $55.00 per month to keep the boat out of the weather and sun.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.  Since I am still not familiar with Canyon Lake (north of San Antonio), I think I will plan on keeping the boat outside (with my factory cover) until I either find some cheaper storage closer to the lake or until I break down and pay the extra cash.  The factory cover seems to do pretty well as long as I get the poles properly set.  For those of you with your boat outside, do you do anything special to protect the trailer or wheels?  I have seen some wheel covers, but don't know if that's just a gimmick or actually worth the extra expense? 

PSullivan - I'm jealous...and my boat is sad.
