Is the fiberglass on our transom flat and smooth underneath the "Toyota" letters?  Or are there little indentations for the letters that are molded into the hull?

the letters are cheap from Toyota, like 11$ or something. Definitely worth replacing if they are oxidized.

I had a larger version of the logo done for my boat because the lettering was discolored.  If you would like I can email the file to anyone who wants to get them printed.  It is a metallic grey 3D letters.  Any car decal company can print them on sticker film for you.  Here is a crappy pic from my phone camera.

Cheers.

PS. My kids named the boat!!

It's a Rankin cover, super nice. Needs no supports, you can trailer with it, etc.

Thanks Pete.   Do you have a photo that shows the Rankin from the windshield back?  I'm getting closer to pulling the trigger.

Hungry Man's picture shows a bit of the cover, but I'd love to see more of it.  I'm tired of the TMS cover filling with water.

Here's a few pics, including one in a downpour with 30 knot winds. No pooling at all. Cool thing is, the factory cover fits over the Rankin, so I've got both on the boat for the winter. No poles needed.

I have heard from the Wakeworld guys that Rankin is somewhat unreliable as far as customer service goes lately. Supposedly there is another guy out there that started a company called Evolution Covers http://evolutioncovers.com a spin-off from Rankin. I don't know if he has patterns for Epics. Rankin does fer sher, for the open bow boats anyway.

I checked with Evolution.  They are in the Seattle area, but don't have the measurements for an Epic.  They said they'd be glad to measure a boat, but I'm out of the mix on this one.

Lakeside,

Cory at Evolution would be happy to measure one of our boats out here if you are interested. He's located about 20 minutes north of Seattle in a place called Mill Creek.

Lance at SkiMasters in Kenmore (North Seattle/Lake Washington) is currently storing an E-22 for the winter for someone and said Cory could come down and get the measurements. He would check, but was sure the owner wouldn't mind.

Call or e-mail Cory. He knows Lance and could get it done for you.

MasonLk, that is really generous of you to do -- to research and set all of that with SkiMasters for Lakeside.  I, for one, am glad to have you in an Epic and as a regular contributor on this site!

I have a Rankin cover, it's rocked.  But it's worn out and its days are numbered.  I might get another season out of it...but doubt it.  If somebody bites the bullet on the Evolution, I might follow suit.  Of if you want to organize a group-by for the E/X22 cover to get the cost down, I'd be in.  They surely would cut a discount since they could cut their workload down significantly making two, or three, or four at the same time...
