New ACME felt much better out of the hole and came on plane much faster than old one. Felt like boat was being pushed up on plane. On first power up there was a harmonic and slight low amp vibration, but I think that was the cotter pin shifting or engine warming up. (Cotter pin was the only gehto part of my install) Sound / vibration did not return
River was rough almost too rough. I only had two opportunities
42.4mph (GPS) and 5400.... go figure! Without ballast I was about 150 more rpm at a wakeboard speed of 21.5mph. And I was about 38-39 mph at 4900rpm and 50-60% throttle.
Hope to check it with ballast labor day weekend.
I tested the throttle cable and it opens the arm on the motor all the way. I started to check for a bad plug (never done this before) and the high pitched alarms and check engine light came on when I would remove the electronic connector. After 2 times I stopped.... not even sure what I was looking for anyway and it was hot out there.
Bill at ACME seemed to think this prop would get me to 43mph. I will never run in that part of the curve. Had 3k of ballast last weekend an it did fine on the 13x13 prop. Shame I wasn't able to pull it last weekend at the lake Norris!
Here's a pic of the OJ... no cup dimension listed
http://www.epicmarine.com/epicphotos/albums/userpics/10046/normal_OJ13x13.jpgProp also had "Legend" stamped between blades and number "3 01" stamped between blades
Will probable keep the ACME so now I have two good props! Have 30 days to try the 11.5 ACME. Will see if there are any suggestions posted and see what Bill @ACME has to say.
