Long story short -- the fitting on my new ballast sack came out while filling and I didn't realize it until the boat started losing power, I stopped the boat, and water came rushing over the floorboards. Honestly thought we were sinking -- fortunately, we weren't. Got that taken care of.
But the unfortunate result of all this is:
1) My boat died.
2) The throttle physically will not move into reverse.
3) The wiring to the tranny and/or a servo back there floated up into the bolts that attach the driveshaft to the transmission, got wrapped up in the bolts and ripped the wiring out. It was two wires -- one black and one red that I believe attach to the mechanism on top of the transmission shifter dealio (probably not the technical term).
1) Should I have any concerns about running my boat after the engine was sitting in about 8" of water -- enough water to make it stall out?
2) I'm hoping this is related to #3
3) How are these wires supposed to be run, and where do they go to? See pics and please advise. One of the two connectors you see goes to the top off the tranny shifter dealio (again, probably not a technical term), the other says "servo" on the casing.
Thank you in advance!!
