Seat Repair?
« on: May 31, 2007, 22:03:15 pm »
Any suggestions for fixing small tears/punctures in the seats?  I have a few spots on both the white and grey leather.  Thanks!

I had some hi heel damage repaired by a local upholstery shop. He charged 25 bucks per hole he repaired, which seemed way high to me, but it turned out great. Just had all the seams in the rear bench re-sown too, and it looks great. From now on the kids can jump over the side -- no more stepping on the back seat!

Well I got my first tear in my back seat from people steping on it and losening the seam. I found a product called  Tear-Aid for vinyl its a clear patch that is supposed to be very strong and bond to vinyl I will let every one know how it works.

Well I used this product and liked it . It is a very flexible semi clear tape that is really strong I think it will prevent the seat from ripping more. I also used it for a bunch of really small holes in the viynl around the boat, I think it will keep them from getting bigger. I do not want to repair the interior in this boat hopefully this will prevent it from getting worse in the future. I bought this at a rv center for like $8 bucks.
