She is ready for the water, the Irish SX
« on: April 26, 2007, 08:09:24 am »
We got her finished last night and will take her down the river this Friday to drop her in the water.
She runs like a dream so just have to check Perfect Pass and one or two small things and it boarding all the way. I have attached some pick and will post some more from the weekend. Enjoy.

Robbie, that is so cool to hear, that a previously dead Epic has been resurrected and will be back on the water very soon.

What damage did you find inside the original block? Did you swap it with an automotive engine? Did you replace any internals (camshafts or pistons)

All that was damaged was the heads they were both cracked. The impeller in the water pump was also cracked. We shipped an engine in from the UK from a crashed car with very low milage and rebuilt the old engine using the parts. It runs and sound amazing cant wait to open her up on the water. The guy who owns it with me is a mechanic so he had all the expertice. Will keep everyone posted.

Robbie,
The Phoenix rises from the ashes. Nice Job Gentlemen! She was looking pretty lost a year ago. You guy's got a lot of b***s to buy a boat that doesn't run and ship it across an ocean to work on it. I wouldn't have taken it across town from what I read about it. Glad everything turned out well. Now go enjoy and post those weekend pics, it's the closest I'll ever get to boarding in Ireland.

I have no idea whats going on but it sounds like you rescued an Epic in dire need of some TLC, so props to you especially shipping it to Ireland!
