Strange behavior
« on: September 14, 2005, 04:26:43 am »
Is anyone getting strange layout behavior on the forum or other parts of the site? Let me know and if you have screen shots, even better. Iv'e tested on at least 3 different browser versions on a PC and everything seems to work OK, but if you see a very strange looking page let me know what browser you're using.

Looks fine to me. Using MSN Explorer.

I think we were having hosting problems. some images were not loading all the time and the style sheets(which give the pages the layout) were not loading on occassion.

Kinda like like missfiring a cyclinder when you give er throttle up.  :P

Seems to be better now.

Of course, if you can't see the forum correctly, then you can;t very well see this post.. now can you...

The only thing is the fusy logic in the time of post. My clock is 2 hours fast. Maybe I can use this time machine for the winning lottery tickets.  If I won the lottery , I would give everyone a free Toyota Marine Sports Baggage claim tag.

Capt Rick of the Titanic my feet are getting wet does the capt go down with the ship?

ahh...there are 2 issues with this. One you can fix, one I'll have to think on.

1. You can change your local forum time by clicking on the "profile" button at the top once logged in, then the time setting is under "preferences" There is an "offset time" function where you probably will need to enter "-2" if you're in EST. The server is probably locate out west somewhere and is set to pacific time.

2. If you view the homepage, the time stamps will always be the actual server time(Central time zone, I think), since you have not logged in to the actual forum at that point. Becuase the time setting is part of your username profile, it is not read when you first go to www.epicmarine.com. I love a cahllenge and will see if I can fix that.

Is that fuzzy enough logic for ya?
