I don't know. You could always ask and see what it looks like. I'll take mine up to Zona del Auto next time I think of it.

The thermostat is not the same as the LS400. I tried to do this also. The LS thermostat is much larger than the one we use. The Epic's is also 160 degree thermostat. You can get 160 degree TRD thermostat's for about $90 or just order the correct one from this site-MUCH CHEAPER!!! and probably the same one. Hope this helps.

Hello!  Funny that I start using the search on the forum to look for guidance on Thermostat /Thermo housing repair and I find my old post from years ago.  Two times now, a hole formed in my thermo housing...given I am at 1400 hours but what is the problem here?  Is there something in my lake that keeps eating through my thermostat housing 2 times now?? Corrosion hole in same spot. Just installed the new one from Capt Rick (3rd). Part on right is first part (I JB welded as a spare), part on left is most recent failed specimen.  Also, over the 1400 hrs, both exhaust manifolds failed from corrosion as well.

Oh oh. Are lakes in your neck of the woods high on alkalinity? Have you had any issues with the water pump?
How does the thermostat look?
