How much water to float?
« on: September 21, 2020, 23:54:24 pm »
I just got a 2000 X22 and the lake we will moor on has a shallow channel connecting to another lake.  Does anyone know how deep the water needs to be to float the boat and prop etc. without worrying about hitting the bottom?  Im looking online and it sounds like 18" will do it but would love to hear from the Epic Community on this.

Thanks very much,

jebbrecht

I have been in areas on one of my local lakes where I have been less than 2 feet of water and still floating, but kicking up a bunch of mud.  I would say no less than 18 inches to be safe.  Could vary based on weight you have in the boat as well.
