Bilge Run Time - Parked in a Marina

We left our boat in a marina slip for 48 hours with everything off and when we got back to it, there was about an inch of water around the bilge pump.  All batteries turned off of course.  Not an issue, turned batteries on, fired up bilge pump and away the water went.  My question is that with two batteries, does anyone know:

A) if the bilge power is from battery 1 or 2?  Or does battery 1 send power to the dash which controls the bilge?
B) can I park the boat in the Marina and leave the Bilge pump on (orange light on) for an extended period of time?
C) or should I just bypass it with a small toggle switch to battery #2 since it is a low amp draw and save Battery #1 to start?

Sometimes it might be a good 2 weeks before we get back to the Marina.

My X22 has a leaky rudder seal. So if I leave the boat on the water overnight the entire bilge bottom is filling. We may camp with the boat on the water for a week. I just leave the Bilge Pump in AUTO. I estimate it auto-pumps once every couple of hours. It has never drained the battery overnight.

I have two isolated batteries. The bilge pump is on the Engine Battery.

If your inflow of water is an inch (local to the pump) in two days, I guess-timate the pump will maybe trigger one-to-three times at day. A fully charged battery should handle two weeks. That said, I would NOT do a two-week trial the first time out! If the inflow is greater than estimated, or the battery goes dead, you could have a real wet mess.

You've done a two-day trial... maybe a five-day the next time. And always recharge the Battery. Keep taking Baby steps to gain the confidence that over these extended unsupervised periods she'll stay afloat.

Do you have a Battery Shutoff Switch? And is it a double-pole to handle both batteries?... with the emergency position to short the two circuits.

When you say AUTO, you mean just leave it on and the "auto" part is the float that would rise and cause it to drain?
Also, if I turn it on (orange light on) will it stay on until I physically turn it off?

When I turn the Bilge on, it stays on.  I am thinking that the float it stuck from gunk.

My bilge pump broke so I got a new Rule 500 Auto pump - problem is the old pump had two wires (brown/black) but the new one has three wires (brown/b&white/black).  The switch is a "three" position switch (On/Auto/Off) but only has two wires off of it - so the change from on/auto in the old pump must be software in the old Rule 500 Auto pump which isn't resident in the new (slightly shorter) Rule 500 Auto pump.  Any thoughts on which wire on the new pump to use (brown - always on) or (bwn/white - auto) when wiring it to the stock wiring harness & switch?

Follow up on bilge pump replacement - old Rule 500 fully auto - two wire (black/brown) - 3-position software(?) switch - unlit(off)/green(on)/red(auto) intended for a 2-ire system with smart switching somewhere (likely in the pump itself - the old  Rule's top is about a 1/4 inch taller - so maybe it has more stuff inside its circuitry).  New Rule 500 fully auto has three wires (black/brown (auto)/brn w white stripe(manual)) intended for a 3-wire 3-way switch.  So absent a better idea I wired the new Rule Brown (auto) to the old Epic brown and abandoned the new Rule auto (white stripe) wire.  This way the pump can be left on all the time without running the battery down (spins impeller every 2.5 minutes to test for resistance and runs to dry if found - can test for a week without material battery drain).  If I get a bunch of H2O over the bow, I just toggle the switch to spin test immediately and get the pump immediately engaged rather than waiting up to 2.5 minutes for it to do so on its own.  Don't want to sink.  Anyway, works great but I noticed an interesting thing.  The 3-way software switch now doesn't go through the green(auto) step of the cycle - Just off & red - so the computer in the boat has somehow figured out I now have a pump with only 2-positions (off/auto) instead of a pump with 3-positions (off/on/auto).  I couldn't figure out any way to wire the manual overide to the existing switch, so I do not have the on all the time capability anymore.

The original is a Pump, Bilge, Attwood Model99,12v,2Amp  pump. with a float internal that turn on when water is above a set mark.

1 do not drill a new hole in hull to mount!!!!     hose id  is 3/4 inch .  If you leave boat in water run a separate wire with a  fuse to battery.
