Epic 22 Trailer Info Needed
« on: August 22, 2019, 23:47:08 pm »
Has anyone replaced their original Ameritrail trailer for an Epic 22?

If so, who manufactured your replacement?
What was the general cost?

I have a single axle trailer that either needs a major repair or it needs to be replaced, so I am looking for info to help with the decision.  Thanks!

Ameratrail is still making trailer call 407 892-1100. He also can repair your trailer

Any boat dealer can get you a single or double axle inboard boat trailer and get the bunks fitted for your boat. Ameratrail is sucky, worst part of the boat, by far. I have owned two, replaced everything, still had tire failures from day one, I would not own one. every part of it is sketchy. Electrical, brakes, axles, fender and tire offsets blah blah blah

Go talk to your local inboard dealer, maliboo, nautike, mastercash etc. they sell trailers all day and can set them up any way you like.

Pete, would a dealer with one of those brands be able to adjust the bunks from one of those brands to fit the Toyota Epic?

It seems that none of the trailer manufacturers (including Ameritrail) have the measurements for a Toyota Epic 22 anymore.

Are there any Toyota E22 or X22 owners near Knoxville, TN (Boatmate) or Orlando, FL (Ameritrail) that would be willing to take their boat over to the manufacturer to have it measured?

Thanks in advance.

I had my X22 at Boatmate in Knoxville about 10 years ago.  They made a GREAT trailer.   Owen Shelton was the guy I dealt with.  I recall him saying he was going to save the measurements so they could help future epic owners else out.  I wouldn't imagine this date would take much space on a computer, sad to hear they don't have it anymore.

Phoenix Trailers in Michigan has the measurements for an Epic 22.
