SX fuel pump assembly removal

So I know I have a fuel pump issue.  I have detached the fuel pump assembly per the tech manual but cant seem to figure out how to remove it from the engine compartment.  Do I have to remove the exhaust manifold?

Maybe take drive belt off and then unbolt the alternator. 2 fasteners and the alt will slide forward and down. It may provide the room to slide the fuel pumps out. Easier than the manifold

I got it.  I had to remove the fuel return "T" and the exhaust hose from the riser (tough stuff).
It then easily slipped toward the bow for removal.
See my associated post about reworking the fuel system with a Bosche-44 style inline fuel pump fitted under the corner seat.
