2 amplifiers for sale or trade
« on: February 26, 2007, 03:58:04 am »
I'm re-doing my system and have two perfectly-working amps that I don't have a use for.  Ideally, I would love to trade the two of them for one good 4-channel amp that is about 100x4 or similar to run my in-the-boat speakers.

Amp #1 is a Kenwood KAC-X301T.  I love this amp, but it is simply too big for the space I have available.  This would not be the case for most.  Specs are here:

Amp #2 is a Sony Xplod 4x60 watt amplifier.  Specs are here (though mine is silver/red):

Will sell both amps for $200 + shipping.  Send me a PM if interested.

Thanks,
Cal

Oh, and the Kenwood produces about 400 watts for a sub when bridged -- enough to push even the best subs quite well.  I had it running my JL 10W7 subwoofer (not an easy sub to push) and it sounded great.  The Sony actually sounds quite good and would be a very easy way to easily upgrade from the stock Kenwood amp. Add a subwoofer (for between $100-300) and you're rockin'.  :)

BONUS:  I'll throw in a $200 Monster-Cable brand 1-farad capacitor for FREE.

So let's break down this package now.
Kenwood amp -- approx. $450 new
Sony amp -- approx. $180 new
Monster cap. -- $200 new

TOTAL: $830!!

Yours for $200.  Now THAT, is a good deal.  Everything is guaranteed in excellent working condition.  Who will be first...

How about some pictures?  Sorry for the quality of the pic of the Sony amp, it's still in the boat...  Also, please note that one of the tiny knobs on the Sony is broken-off -- the bass boost knob (which you wouldn't want to use anyway for full-range speakers)...but for full disclosure.  I never used it, nor did I want to use it.  If you really wanted to adjust it, you still could with a small screwdriver.

Other than that, both amps are in very good condition.
