coil pack bolt
« on: June 04, 2017, 02:01:03 am »
I was changing plugs recently and stripped the bolt/hole that holds the coil pack down. well the hole is stripped i[m pretty sure. It does get snug but it will loosen over time and the bolt looks fine. I did not think to try a bolt from another coil pack to make sure it is the hole, but will try that.  I wonder if there is a way to get a self tapping bolt to get it snug.  The coil pack is making a connection because when i unhook the connector at the top of the pack the engine boggs down just a bit.

any suggestions?

Hi Lesman
Bolt is 6mm by 1.00 thread. The hole can be repaired by a helicoil. Very inexpensive.
