2000 S22 Direct Drive??
« on: June 03, 2021, 15:56:18 pm »
I'm looking at purchasing a 2000 S22 Direct Drive.   Once I started researching, I've found articles and posts claiming that it should be a V-Drive??  Supposedly this boat is original with an added tower.  Owner has owned it for 10 years.  Is this correct, or was an incorrect decal added to the boat?

Thanks for your help and knowledge

The boat in the picture is a Direct Drive as the motorbox is in the middle of the boat.  As far as I know there was never a S22 direct drive, they were all v drives. I believe the boat in the picture is actually a Epic 22 direct drive.  I have no idea why  the decals on the side plainly say S22, but it is obvious that the decals are not from the factory as far as I know.   It certainly was not a Epic S22 converted to direct drive as the trunk cover is the correct size for the Epic 22, and nobody would bother to do that conversion.

The best thing to do is get the Hull Id number and look it up on the website, that will clear up the question right away.
