MasonLk, I gotta agree.  Thanks for setting this up.

I've received an e-mail from Cory at Evolution Covers saying that he's willing to go to the dealership to measure the E22.  In an e-mail to me he quoted $815.00.  On their web site, it talks about group discount pricing being available with an order of four covers (perhaps that number is flexible in mid-winter???).

Please post below if you are interested.  Anyone else?

My Rankin cover is still in great shape after 7 years. I cleaned it really well last year and refurbished the waterproofing. Not much wear and tear on it. I figure I've got 2-5 more years before I need a new one.

I would e-mail Rankin @ www.rankincovers.com just to get a comparison on the price, products used in the manufacturing, and the assembly itself. Make sure you are comparing the same stitching, taping, zippers, padding, material weight, etc. They look almost identical so it will be the small details that make the difference. Both companies have been very helpful on the phone with me and I will have a tough time choosing one when it is time.

Make sure you get the metal D rings on the back straps. I have the plastic ends that snap together and I just don't feel like I can cinch the straps as tight as you can with the D rings.

Lakeside, was that price delivered to you? could be a bargaining chip!

Masonlk,
My Rankin is in fine shape and I second the D rings. I don't need a cover right now but I do need to get mine rewaterproofed. what did that run you? did you DIY?

If there are a couple of you looking for covers I highly encourage someone to start a post for a group buy with either company. I have only seen the Rankin and love it.

About $45 and yes it's a DIY job.  4 - 16oz pump bottles of 303 High Tech Fabric Guard. Could have used 5 or even 6.
Next time I'd just buy the one gallon container and brush it on. A gal should run around $70 at a discount marine store.

Good call on the waterproofing Steve, Ive noticed our cover has been lacking especially over the rear seat where water can puddle after hard rains.  Ill buy a gallon this spring and wash the cover really well (it needs it).  But yea, our Rankin cover (has d-rings too) is 7 years old now and still looks pretty dang good for sitting out in the sun all summer.

What is the status on the Evolution covers? I might be interested. My batwing cover is about shot, and I can't stand it anyway.
