Hull Size Question
« on: February 05, 2008, 02:42:11 am »
Is there any difference in size between a '99 E22 and an '01 SX?

I am asking because Evolution Covers has an '01 SX as a template for a cover, but I've got a '99 E22.  Is there a difference as far as a cover is concerned?

(I'm checking on covers and may post another thread in a bit to see if people are interested in a group buy.  Stay tuned...)

They are different.  The S22/SX bow is longer and a different shape, and the tower mounts are in slightly different locations.  They are close enough that one cover might fit both boats, but not perfectly... (Pete's current SX and my old X22 were side-by-side at one point).

Does Evolution have a template for the SX? I am interested so if you could keep us updated that would be great!

Yes, Cory at Evolution has a template for an SX22 (2001 year - I assume all years are the same).  Thanks to MasonLk for hooking Cory up with an SX22 at a local dealership in Seattle.

Cory mentioned that these covers truly are custom and that an SX22 cover would not give a good result for an E22 or X22, since they are slightly different.
