Search here for Capt Rick contact info.  My understanding is that all those boats were recalled and destroyed.

Just because it is a 99 doesn't mean it is or was bad.  It depends on the date of manufacture.

If you have it, I bet it was a "good" one.

I have a May 1998 Build and it was never recalled because it was BEFORE the warp in the mold.

Did you try the HIN decoder on this site?

Do that and let us know what you find.

I've only been in one Epic 21, (hi Wreck!) and it is a 99 also, that was built before they screwed up the mold. It is built like a swiss watch and looks and drives as new. If I found a deal on one I would buy it just to have two (again;)

I sold the E21 to Wreck and I think it was one of the best Toyota Boats made!  I now have an 2002 S22 and I think the build quality on the first ones is slightly better than on the last!  I seem to have more minor issues with the newer one than I ever had on the 99 E21.  Enjoy your 99, I think it has the passion of Toyota Quality.  I think some of the later years show some of the struggle to stay in the boat business.  All that being said, I would never sell my S22 for something else because my S22 is still heads above anything new out there as far as quality manufacturing and design goes!

Hope you enjoyed your time out on the water. My E21 is still a wonder to me - my little sports car in a lake full of SUVs!

I am off this AM to move my dock out once again and to winterize everything. Between the low water and predicted cold snap this week, I am going to call it quits for the winter. Sorry we didn't get a 2nd run in for the SE Roundup guys but it is good to see you guys posting with helpful advice.
Don't be so humble, you're not that great.
