Since Lesman helped me get the black bar at the top of site with "Search" may-be we could petition him for a "New-to-Toyota Marine" link. I would put the following checklist with hyperlinks to the posts with the detail. May-be some one could also add them to the troubleshooting manual. Bad news is that our issues are not going to go down in total over time... Good news is that seems most people are getting things fixed and are generally "happy" customers. Or will the issues actually go down over time if everyone follows the advice on this site.... hmmm just had a random thought about that...
I'll offer up a start... feel free to edit my fnvkudg
-Register on this site... fill out all the information on the boat info page.... ALL OF IT
-Learn to search the site and where the main links take you
-Chevron premium gas only! Anything else at your own risk
-Winterize and follow maintenance procedure every year
-Familiarize yourself with Plugs and MAF
-ACME or OJ prop
-Run seperate ground and power wires to the dash
-Check the instrument gages
-Battery / Perko Operation
-Fuse Locations
-Priming the fuel rails
-Check for Leaks / what the right amount of water that should drip into the bildge
-Speed and RPM at Wide Open Throttle (WOT)
-Weight the bow?
-How to Balance Ballast
-Upgrades (Perfect Pass Etc.)
-Cleaning the boat / vynal
Wow! What a help this site has been!!! Even I can't believe that I could BS at least a one blurb something about all of the above! I never would have imaged that! Thinking back a list like this might have helped me save some time over the years.
Besides if we can get this fixed then I'd have more time to read about cyclone messing with wakeworld
