Question on Wiring for Tower speakers/lights
« on: June 20, 2007, 04:13:47 am »
When I installed my tower last year, I forgot to drill a hole to run wires through. Will I have an issue drilling from the "inside." We had a hard enough time getting the thing on...I hate to have to do it all over again. Also, the tower installation bulletin recommends drilling the hole on the port side. I plan to mount my amplifier behind the kick panel on driver's side. Are there any issues with drilling the hold on the starboard side?

My plan is to drill the hole in the middle of the mounting bolts from the inside. If I'm about to screw something up, please let me know. Thanks!

Dont drill from the inside out!!!! It will shatter the gelcoat as the drill bit cuts through. I know it sucks but you will get the best results from removing the tower. At least you only have to take off one leg.
