Gator grip

Has anyone used this product? Is it worth the money? I want to replace the faded and discolored grip pad on my closed bow 99 e21. I have looked at the web site and have not seen any info on warranty or how long it will last.

Me and Flyn have it all over our boats.  It works especially well for stopping boards from gouging the back of the boat (especially wake surfing).  I also put it on top of the boat for better footing for me and the little ones.  I highly recommend it, and have had no problems with mine whatsoever.
I think Flyn actually used some on the front of his trailer as well.  Hope that helps.

The stuff works great....however.....i don't know how well it would work on a surface that is constantly in the water..i.e. your platform.  It is a little spendy also.  I thought it was for above water applications on watercraft, but I may be wrong.  Good luck.  There was a link on here a while back with a guy who coated his swim deck with something, it looked sharp.  If I remember correctly, it was all black.  Might have been a rhino lining or something, but i'm not 100% on that!

I am going to use it for the bow for when I walk up there it gets very slick. It is not for my platform. Maybe on my trailer fenders and by the winch. There are some pics on there website if any one wants to look at them.

I emailed the guy for a few samples and he responded promptly and is sending some samples. Customer's pictures on their website show it on a few swim platforms.

I think it was a rhinoliner that someone coated there's with. I wonder what that would cost in comparison? It's a c note to get enough of the gator grip.

Rhinoliner would be much cheaper I have used it before. I coated the inside of my jeep with it. It would cost about $25.00 to do a swim platform. They sell it in a quart or a gallon and have it in black, red and white. but that stuff is not removable thats the scary part.

Where can I buy that Rhino liner stuff in a can?

Still will probably put gator grip on the transom and maybe on the top as i just waxed it and it is pretty slick up there.

You can get the black kind at walmart and the colored stuff at jc whitney. The kind that I am talkin about is hurculiner its the same stuff I have used it in a pick up bed and in the inside of my jeep. I am going to use the gator grip, the herculiner scares my because you can take it off. I would like to put something along the back on the transom to protect from scratches and hide all the ones I allready have. I dont like how the gator grip will look I saw some pics of it on there site does anyone have any idea's for that.  Like some kind of thick protective film or something.

I have a clear protectant across the back of my transom that I believe was a factory accessory from Toyota??  It looks very nice and works well.  It looks just like the clear film bra's that some people have on the front of their cars. Check with Captain Rick.
