Anyone have luck redoing the seats? need them done this winter

Boat turned 20 this year and thought i would give her a new set of seats.  really only need the cushions.  anyone have any luck having them redone?   i am in wisconsin and have the ready to be done but want to make sure the match as best they can.

you can still buy the original upholstery material from the parts tab by the yard. Depending on what color and what model you have, you might find some skins or whole cushions as well. They've been on the shelf for 15 yrs, so....

Good Afternoon Tryme-
I see you're in Grafton. Wondering where you get your boat serviced in Wisconsin.
I had an SX from 2004-2010 in Chicago (serviced at Skipper Buds in Pewaukee), then I moved to CA and sold the boat.
I now may be interested in a used S22 in Oshkosh, but it is at auction, and the auction company has no info on it's history.
I called Skipper Buds, they no longer work on Toyota's.
May I ask who you use? Could they fix a meaningful issue if there was one on the auction boat?
Had you had issues getting parts?

On the seat questions, I am in the process of re-doing my SX seat cushions which are the unfortunate butt burning silver and cream color combo called Lightning.

FYI, if you type "lighting" in the search bar, you will find mislabeled lightning color combo seats and skins and vinyl.

Both rear corner seat skins appear to be identical, I am putting skins on them today and will post before and after pics. If you notice, they only list one corner seat, so consider buying two. In my case they appear to be identical.

 If you buy vinyl from the site, buy it by the yard, it's twice as much by the roll.

The silver color is not available, so I have aquired samples and found a color that is close, but still looking. 

It's not hard to put the skins on yourself if you have a decent staple puller and stapler.

sorry for the late post.  i do all the work myself.  timing belt 2 years ago and last winder did the gauges.  not sure who works on them around here any more.  they are pretty easy to work on if you take your time i think

I've done 3 auction boats, '00 E-22, "91" prostar 190, 15 Ski Naut. 200 OB. Two of them, way ahead, the 91 even, due to
upgrades like ""PP", Stereo, Cover, Shower, Heater, and little motor work. Or i would have been good with that one also. With Toyota's it is a breeze with the support and info here and way they were built. Since you have owned one before, that helps.

On the seat skins: they are OEM and have been in a box on a shelf tied up with a scrap of vinyl for 20 years. So, they can be faded, discolored in spots and have some deep wrinkles that might bother you if you are a perfectionist. Other than that, they install just like the original covers.

I put them on myself and they are not stretched as tightly as the original which is intentional. The original seats on both of my Epics had seams pop pretty quickly as they were stretched tighter than Dicks hatband.

I still have a couple more seats to do but I will take some pics next time I'm on the boat.

OK I'm redoing my trunklid (SX/S22) and I took it apart. this trunk lid has a curved lip that is built by stapling on an angle cut piece of the same thermoplastic (white delron looking stuff) onto the back edge of the flat upper section. Assholes used ferrous staples to hold the lip on .

I am going to reinforce the busted hinge area and also a big crack around the latch area, and recover.

The good news is that it's not that difficult to fix your busted trunklid, pics to follow.

The original trunk lids where a warp-able  plastic. The newer ones are a honeycomb panel. Yes they uses cheap fasteners.
