Westland covers
« on: December 21, 2016, 23:45:20 pm »
So, it was time for my third cover for my SX. I ended up buying a westland cover from Bald Mikes.

It is nearly identical to the stock tower up waterline cover. It has some extra stitching neat the bow eye and fits a couple of inches further down closer to the waterline. It fit like a glove. It is also vented which my stock one was not.

Highly recommended, price was 650$ or so. High quality sunbrella and color choices.

I was on fence, looking on line for cover for my SX. Did you purchase the pole type or the held up by tower type?
Pictures of the cover installed would be great!  Mike

I bought a westland cover for my 99 E22, I've been really happy with it, same overall shape as the original cover, and better padding for the bow eye windshield and vents as mentioned by cyclone.  I found that I had to install two poles to keep the rain from pooling in the wet Pacific NW. You may not have the same issue with the SX cover.

I got it with a device called Hangtyte that attaches to the center of the cover and hoists it up via a rope to the tower. I have not installed that yet since the boat is under a roof and water doesn't pool much.

I purchased same cover. On trailer it's perfect. I find it difficult to install when at the dock. I'm thinking about having. To trimmed to follow the rub rail.
