Rusty Transmission Mounts

I noticed in pictures of other boats that some of you have the same rusty transmission mounts that I do and some of the boats do not.  Should I be worried about this, scrub the rust off and give them a coat of black paint, or is it no big deal.

I stole this picture from the vdrive maintenance doc...

Hey, what did you end up doing with these? Paint them? What did you use? I have a bunch of spots (including the same mounts) that I need to repaint and I am asking anyone to see what works..??
