My Rankin cover is still in great shape after 7 years. I cleaned it really well last year and refurbished the waterproofing. Not much wear and tear on it. I figure I've got 2-5 more years before I need a new one.
I would e-mail Rankin @
www.rankincovers.com just to get a comparison on the price, products used in the manufacturing, and the assembly itself. Make sure you are comparing the same stitching, taping, zippers, padding, material weight, etc. They look almost identical so it will be the small details that make the difference. Both companies have been very helpful on the phone with me and I will have a tough time choosing one when it is time.
Make sure you get the metal D rings on the back straps. I have the plastic ends that snap together and I just don't feel like I can cinch the straps as tight as you can with the D rings.
Lakeside, was that price delivered to you? could be a bargaining chip!
