Fresh Water Cooling System For Sale Home Brew
« on: September 07, 2007, 14:35:52 pm »
Since I am selling my Toyota ski boat engine I will also offer up what was going to be my home-brew fresh water cooling system for sale here before I part it out on ebay.  While these systems are fairly generic, I put together these parts specifically to fit the Toyota engine.

all of it $400 to include the aluminum tube where you can make umteen sleeves for the thermostat housing.

main body of heat exhanger is 20.5" by 4".  The little l-shaped hose connects to the angled fitting.  the exhaust fitting is under the hose so I moved hose out of way to let you see it.

the toyota engine originally had two lines feed one of each exh manifold.  I was going to Y these into the input of the hx, then the output goes to the original 1.25" input of the engine.  Meanwhile sea water goes in via left hand 1.25" inlet and goes out via the two fittings on each side that go to exh manifolds.

All of this is brand new and I have some of it taped together how I was gonna sweat it together using silver solder and mapp gas.  small pieces of copper tubing would be needed to couple some of the pieces.  also i was gonna eliminate the rubber hose and use copper there as well, that is what the extra fittings are for.  I will also throw in a handful of clamps, some may fit, some may not, my brother works for a company that sells clamps......
