Looks like Carlos and Charlie's is having their fireworks on Tuesday. Lago Vista is having theirs at Bar-K park on Wednesday night, and usually start around dark. It lasts about 15 minutes.

Just FYI, its a little shallow around Bar-K but if you stay in the channel you're golden.

I think we're directly across from Bar K. Chasity, is that where the island is when the lake is low....the one everyone drives their 4WD's onto?

Well, you ARE across from the Island... but not the one you're thinking! You are actually accross "THE" Island. -A former retirement resort that's now for sale as condos. I'm sure if you google it you'll see what I mean. Look for the blue Spanish tile roof.

The 4WD island is actually a giant sand pile (now waaaaay underwater) over by Point Venture... about 5 or 10 from where you are. -Like I said, you got the sweet spot!

No Lake Travis, but we still had a mini round-up at Lake Amistad.  Me, Flyn, and Westtx had a great couple days on the lake.  The water and weather were outstanding and Westtx's houseboat was amazing.  For those of you who have met westtx, you know what a great guy he is.  For those that haven't, talk him in to coming to your next round-up.  Great guy and great family.  He opened his houseboat to both Flyn and I's families and had an amazing barbecue for us on the lake.  When my serpentine belt came off, he pulled me to the dock and waited to make sure we made it out of the water without any problems.  So far, I have met nothing but great folks from epicmarine, and I am pleased to add westtx to that list.  We should have some high quality pics coming soon (I know that's what everybody wants).

Thanks to Ktown and Flyn for hosting us at Amistad and showing us that beautiful lake. We had a great time kicking back with the families and enjoying the beautiful weather, friends, and of course the three Epics we had there. Allison will get the photos formatted tomorrow and we'll post them tomorrow. By the way, Ktown, Calvin is already checking out wakeskates on the internet. You may have created a monster!

Westx,

I also wanted to say thanks for hosting my family and I on your house boat.  They had a great time.  I wish we could have hung out longer that day....I guess I missed all the boat breaking action!!  It also sounds like Ktown owes you a few rounds of adult beverages for the tow/ride.  If Calvin is interested in getting a wakeskate, I recommend going to Evogear, wakeshop, outlet...and look there.  This is where we picked up our wakeskate...and it has been killer.  I look forward to seeing the pics of our boats.  Glad you could make it down and hope to meet up with you again in the future.  Oh...and thanks again for helping me with tightening the shaft packing.  Take care.
