Last year I whiped down my boat every time I pulled it out this year I have not done it once ( LAZY). Now I have water spots that washing and waxing wont get rid of them how do I. I think I saw a thread on here that you use viniger or something does anyone know?

I use about 25% vinegar and 75% water. Takes them right off

Awesome thanks will the vinegar hurt the gel coat after time. Also I wanted to get my boat buffed out to get some scratches out, I heard that as soon as you buff it it needs to be done every year does anyone know about this?

I hit it with vinegar and then follow with a spray-on wax. Not sure about the long-term affects -- I've only had the boat a year, but I'm sure there are some commercial water spot removers for $6 or $7 a bottle that will work too.

I Can't speak for the water spots, but This year I tried a new Zaino product -Zaino AIO(All in one- (cleaner polisher-wax) on the top and sides. Even on glass and chrome. It works great and it easy to apply. It's a snap to wipe it down with a microfiber towel after pulling it out of the water and no water spots.

This year I used the 3M Finesse and on top of that I used the 3M wax. It also did a nice job and no spots

Lesman,
Sal (Zaino) will get all over you for not using a USA made, 100% cotton, large white bath size Cannon or Fieldcrest towel!
As long as you applied Zaino with the above, maybe you are safe-

If the vinegar gets a little to stinky you can use super-diluted lime-away. (Recommended to me by the local boat dealer). Works like a charm! The ducky stuff isn't too bad either.

I also used the diluted lime away, and then rinsed it with distilled water. All the spot removers and vinegar just weren't strong enough (I had months of spots!). I waxed it right after I finsihed to put a protective layer back on.

Wreck, yes, no worries. I hook my kids tricycle up to the spinning jenny and make my own 100% cotton towels. He can make about 2 per year working nights and weekends. He's trying to save enough money for college selling them to Sal since walmart won't buy them.
