Everybody raves about the denso, but the Autolites work great!

I am into my 3rd season on the Autolites that Breakaway put in my boat. I bought Denzos last year but these darn things just keep humming. I am begining to think the Denzos will rust in the box. Part of me wants to wait until I get some indication of an issue before changing them out and the other part says to change them now so I will have a good set for installing during the winterization process. I can then fire them off for the first run each spring to burn off the fogging oil, water in the gas, if any, etc. Regardless, from now on I will do the "pull a plug and see if it makes a difference" routine and replace only the plugs that need it unless someone knows of a valid reason to toss out good plugs. (Easy and cheap describe me and Autolites - not Denzos) Do they degrade over time even though they still function? I figure a good plug is like being pregnant - either you are or you aren't.
Don't be so humble, you're not that great.

So the autolites are just normal cheapo plugs? Or are they iridium
Because if I can use the cheap ones I will, so they are autolite 3923?

you could also use cheap denso's. Just buy plugs for a 2000 Tundra. same heat range just not the long life the iridiums give you. As often as we foul plugs who cares about long life? that's what I put in this year and the was no difference in performance whatsoever. $12 compared to $75 or so.

I had a sick experience... recently purchased an X22 and it did not have the same performance of my Epic 21. I started pulling plug wires and found a dead hole... what a sick feeling. Called an automotive garage where they specialize in imports (they own a Lexus personally) and got them interested in the boat. They came to my house, determined that it was either a plug or the cap, did compression to confirm all was good... talk about relief. He told me to run nothing but NGK iridium plugs in the Lexus. The NGK website has our boats there to indicate the correct plugs. I swapped them out and all is good again. He told me those plugs should last and last... guess only time will tell. Not sure what is in my Epic 21 for plugs... never pulled a plug but it ran flawlessly last year... and we put 100 hours on it.

I changed the plugs last year and put in the ngk iridiums, I just pulled them and changed them with the auto lites the guys were talkin about. The ngk plugs I pulled look like brand new but they were saying they could be bad even if they look good I will let you guys know what happends. If they dont cure my problem I know its not the plugs and will put the ngk's back in.

The Denso's are supposedly better. I got 400 hrs out of my factory NGKs before they flaked out. They looked perfect, too.... Shoulda ebay'd em;) I sold the boat with almost 800 hrs and it still runs like, well, a Lexus.
