xx SX Internal Tank Leak
February 06, 2010, 23:53:43 PM by 60drivers
Hey guys,

My buddy and I bought Kevin's (Ktown) SX last season and had a blast with it. We were just learning to board at the time, so the internal leak wasn't much of an issue to us and we hated to bring the boat into the garage during prime boating season. But we wanna tackle this issue now that we have some time and the lake's a bit chilly. So onto my questions...

I haven't had the chance to troubleshoot the leak, so all my knowledge comes from the previous owner's posts on this forum. With his tests he determined the leak to be toward the aft portion of the port tank. I'm gonna install an access panel on the top of the tank (floor of locker) when I determine a safe place for it. Has anyone done this since last season. Most of the posts on this topic are 1-2 yrs old now so hopefully someone has discovered something. Also, why are there two drain holes on either side of the rudder coming from the tanks into the bilge? I'd imagine its a vent for the filling process, but how are these not sources of a leak?

Thanks for any info,
Brian

xx Why Buy an Epic now?
February 05, 2010, 23:11:28 PM by JY
I am in the market for a inboard to take the family out and for me to be able to casually wakeboard behind.  I have read the history of Toyota Marine and am wondering if this seeming awesome boat is going to be worth it  as it ages due to issues with parts and the like.  I am looking at an 2000 X-22 with 1270 hours but was "rebuilt" around 1000 hours.  The interior looks fantastic, but longevity of parts availability???

I know everyone on here is sold out on these boats, but what are the realistic expectations?
Thanks guys.
Josh

question Wakeboard Tower

Any Epic 21 owners out there willing to sell their tower, or have a recommendation where I might find an original Epic 21 Tower?

Man I love the short winters.  I feel stupid for riding when it was 30 when it's already in the 70's here for a while
